وَالسَّمَٓاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِۙ
By the universe laden with towers.

2
وَالْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُودِۙ
And the appointed Day.
3
وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍۜ
And a witness and a witnessed.
4
قُتِلَ اَصْحَابُ الْاُخْدُودِۙ
Dead are the people of the canyon.
5
اَلنَّارِ ذَاتِ الْوَقُودِۙ
The Fire supplied with fuel.
6
اِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌۙ
They will be placed in it.
7
وَهُمْ عَلٰى مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِالْمُؤْمِن۪ينَ شُهُودٌۜ
And they were witness to what they did to the believers.
8
وَمَا نَقَمُوا مِنْهُمْ اِلَّٓا اَنْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِاللّٰهِ الْعَز۪يزِ الْحَم۪يدِۙ
And all they had asked them was to believe in God, the Noble, the Praiseworthy!
9
اَلَّذ۪ي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِۜ وَاللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَه۪يدٌۜ
The One to whom belongs kingship of heavens and Earth, and God is witness over everything.
10
اِنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ فَتَنُوا الْمُؤْمِن۪ينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ الْحَر۪يقِۜ
Those who have put the believing men and women under ordeal, and then did not repent, they will have the retribution of Hell, and they will have the retribution of burning.
11
اِنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْر۪ي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهَارُۜ ذٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْـكَب۪يرُۜ
Those who believe and do good works, they will have gardens with rivers flowing beneath. Such is the great reward.
12
اِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَد۪يدٌۜ
The punishment of your Lord is severe.
13
اِنَّهُ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُع۪يدُۚ
It is He who initiates and then returns.
14
وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الْوَدُودُۙ
And He is the Forgiver, the Most Kind.
15
ذُوالْعَرْشِ الْمَج۪يدُۙ
Possessor of the throne, the Glorious.
16
فَعَّالٌ لِمَا يُر۪يدُۜ
Doer of what He wills.
17
هَلْ اَتٰيكَ حَد۪يثُ الْجُنُودِۙ
Has news come to you of the soldiers
18
فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَۜ
Pharaoh and Thamud
19
بَلِ الَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُوا ف۪ي تَكْذ۪يبٍۙ
No, those who rejected are in denial.
20
وَاللّٰهُ مِنْ وَرَٓائِهِمْ مُح۪يطٌۚ
And God after them is encompassing.
21
بَلْ هُوَ قُرْاٰنٌ مَج۪يدٌۙ
No, it is a glorious Quran.
22
ف۪ي لَوْحٍ مَحْفُوظٍ
In a tablet, preserved.
