وَالذَّارِيَاتِ ذَرْواًۙ
By the winds that blow.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

2
فَالْحَامِلَاتِ وِقْراًۙ
Carrying rain.
3
فَالْجَارِيَاتِ يُسْراًۙ
Travelling easily.
4
فَالْمُقَسِّمَاتِ اَمْراًۙ
Distributing as commanded.
5
اِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌۙ
What you are being promised is true.
6
وَاِنَّ الدّ۪ينَ لَوَاقِـعٌۜ
And the Judgment will come to pass.
7
وَالسَّمَٓاءِ ذَاتِ الْحُبُكِۙ
By the sky that is clear.
8
اِنَّكُمْ لَف۪ي قَوْلٍ مُخْتَلِفٍۙ
You are saying what is different.
9
يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ اُفِكَۜ
To mislead those who are misled.
10
قُتِلَ الْخَرَّاصُونَۙ
Woe to the deceitful.
11
اَلَّذ۪ينَ هُمْ ف۪ي غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَۙ
Who are in mischief, unaware.
12
يَسْـَٔلُونَ اَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الدّ۪ينِۜ
They ask: "When is the Day of Judgment"
13
يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ
The Day they ordeal upon the Fire.
14
ذُوقُوا فِتْنَتَكُمْۜ هٰذَا الَّذ۪ي كُنْتُمْ بِه۪ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
"Taste this ordeal of yours; this is what you asked to be hastened. "
15
اِنَّ الْمُتَّق۪ينَ ف۪ي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍۙ
The righteous are in paradises and springs.
16
اٰخِذ۪ينَ مَٓا اٰتٰيهُمْ رَبُّهُمْۜ اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذٰلِكَ مُحْسِن۪ينَۜ
Receiving what their Lord has bestowed to them, for they were before that pious.
17
كَانُوا قَل۪يلاً مِنَ الَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ
They used to rarely sleep the whole night.
18
وَبِالْاَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
And before dawn, they would seek forgiveness.
19
وَف۪ٓي اَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِلسَّٓائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ
An in their money was a portion for the beggar and the needy.
20
وَفِي الْاَرْضِ اٰيَاتٌ لِلْمُوقِن۪ينَۙ
And in the Earth are signs for those who comprehend.
21
وَف۪ٓي اَنْفُسِكُمْۜ اَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ
And within yourselves; do you not see
22
وَفِي السَّمَٓاءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ
And in the heaven is your provision, and what you are promised.
23
فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَٓاءِ وَالْاَرْضِ اِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ مِثْلَ مَٓا اَنَّكُمْ تَنْطِقُونَ۟
By the Lord of the heaven and the Earth, this is truth just as the fact that you speak.
24
هَلْ اَتٰيكَ حَد۪يثُ ضَيْفِ اِبْرٰه۪يمَ الْمُكْرَم۪ينَۢ
Has the story of Abraham's noble guests come to you
25
اِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَاماًۜ قَالَ سَلَامٌۚ قَوْمٌ مُنْكَرُونَ
When they entered upon him, they said: "Peace. " He said: "Peace to a people unknown!"
26
فَرَاغَ اِلٰٓى اَهْلِه۪ فَجَٓاءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَم۪ينٍۙ
Then he went to his family and brought a fat roasted calf.
27
فَقَرَّبَهُٓ اِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ اَلَا تَأْكُلُونَۘ
He offered it to them, he said: "Do you not eat"
28
فَاَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خ۪يفَةًۜ قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْۜ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَامٍ عَل۪يمٍ
He then became fearful of them. They said: "Do not fear, " and they gave him good news of a knowledgeable son.
29
فَاَقْبَلَتِ امْرَاَتُهُ ف۪ي صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَق۪يمٌ
His wife then approached in amazement. She slapped upon her face, and said: "I am a sterile old woman!"
30
قَالُوا كَذٰلِكِۙ قَالَ رَبُّكِۜ اِنَّهُ هُوَ الْحَك۪يمُ الْعَل۪يمُ
They said: "It was such that your Lord has said. He is the Wise, the Knowledgeable."
31
قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ اَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ
He said: "What is your undertaking, O messengers"
32
قَالُٓوا اِنَّٓا اُرْسِلْـنَٓا اِلٰى قَوْمٍ مُجْرِم۪ينَۙ
They said: "We have been sent to a criminal people. "
33
لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِنْ ط۪ينٍۙ
"To send down upon them rocks of clay. "
34
مُسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِف۪ينَ
"Prepared by your Lord for the transgressors. "
35
فَاَخْرَجْنَا مَنْ كَانَ ف۪يهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِن۪ينَۚ
We then vacated from it all the believers.
36
فَمَا وَجَدْنَا ف۪يهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِم۪ينَۚ
But We only found in it one house of those who had surrendered.
37
وَتَرَكْنَا ف۪يهَٓا اٰيَةً لِلَّذ۪ينَ يَخَافُونَ الْعَذَابَ الْاَل۪يمَۜ
And We have left in it a sign for those who fear the painful retribution.
38
وَف۪ي مُوسٰٓى اِذْ اَرْسَلْنَاهُ اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُب۪ينٍ
And also Moses, for We sent him to Pharaoh with a clear authority.
39
فَتَوَلّٰى بِرُكْنِه۪ وَقَالَ سَاحِرٌ اَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
But he turned away, in arrogance, and he said: "A magician, or crazy. "
40
فَاَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُل۪يمٌۜ
So We took him and his troops; We cast them into the sea, and he was to blame.
41
وَف۪ي عَادٍ اِذْ اَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرّ۪يحَ الْعَق۪يمَۚ
And also 'Aad, for We sent upon them the hurricane wind.
42
مَا تَذَرُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ اَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ اِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّم۪يمِۜ
Anything that it came upon was utterly destroyed.
43
وَف۪ي ثَمُودَ اِذْ ق۪يلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا حَتّٰى ح۪ينٍ
And also Thamud, for it was said to them: "Enjoy for a while. "
44
فَعَتَوْا عَنْ اَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنْظُرُونَ
But they rebelled against the command of their Lord. So the lightning struck them while they were looking.
45
فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِنْ قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنْتَصِر۪ينَۙ
They were unable to rise up, nor could they win.
46
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِنْ قَبْلُۜ اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْماً فَاسِق۪ينَ۟
And the people of Noah before; they were a wicked people.
47
وَالسَّمَٓاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِاَيْدٍ وَاِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ
And We constructed the universe using matter, and We will expand it.
48
وَالْاَرْضَ فَرَشْنَاهَا فَنِعْمَ الْمَاهِدُونَ
And the Earth We furnished; glory be to the Makers.
49
وَمِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
And from everything We created a pair, perhaps you may remember.
50
فَفِرُّٓوا اِلَى اللّٰهِۜ اِنّ۪ي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذ۪يرٌ مُب۪ينٌۚ
So turn towards God. I am to you from Him a clear warner.
51
وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهاً اٰخَرَۜ اِنّ۪ي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذ۪يرٌ مُب۪ينٌ
And do not make any other god with God. I am to you from Him a clear warner.
52
كَذٰلِكَ مَٓا اَتَى الَّذ۪ينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ رَسُولٍ اِلَّا قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ اَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
Likewise, when a messenger went to those before them, they said: "A magician, or crazy. "
53
اَتَوَاصَوْا بِه۪ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ
Have they passed down this saying to each other Indeed, they are a wicked people.
54
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَٓا اَنْتَ بِمَلُومٍۘ
So turn away from them; you will not be blamed.
55
وَذَكِّرْ فَاِنَّ الذِّكْرٰى تَنْفَعُ الْمُؤْمِن۪ينَ
And remind, for the reminder benefits the believers.
56
وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْاِنْسَ اِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ
I did not create the Jinn and the humans except to serve Me.
57
مَٓا اُر۪يدُ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ رِزْقٍ وَمَٓا اُر۪يدُ اَنْ يُطْعِمُونِ
I need no provisions from them, nor do I need them to give food.
58
اِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُوالْقُوَّةِ الْمَت۪ينُ
God is the Provider, the One with Power, the Supreme.
59
فَاِنَّ لِلَّذ۪ينَ ظَلَمُوا ذَنُوباً مِثْلَ ذَنُوبِ اَصْحَابِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ
The transgressors will have the same fate as their previous friends; so let them not be hasty.
60
فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ يَوْمِهِمُ الَّذ۪ي يُوعَدُونَ
So woe to those who rejected from the Day that is waiting for them.
